Hi there! Or should I say ¡Hola! I am an Elementary Spanish teacher. When I started my teaching program, teaching Spanish was not what I had in mind. However, I needed to add Foreign Language to my Plan of Work. Since I grew up bilingual I tested out of classes and I only needed a few more classes to obtain my Spanish endorsements in K-8th Spanish. I took the gamble, and now I have a job that I never thought I would enjoy so much. In May 2012, I graduated from WSU with a Bachelor’s in K-5 all subjects, Math 5-8, and Spanish 5-8. In Jan 2015 I returned to WSU for my master Educational Technology K-12, and I am finally completing my last semester.
I selected this program because I always liked technology and I like ot stay up to date with 21st Century learning and teaching. This program guided me and given me corage on trying new things in class. In this course, specifically, I look forward to learning how to use Blogger and Twitter in the classroom. With me teaching Spanish, I would like to find safe and effective ways for my students to Blog and Tweet in español.
